CREATING AND MANAGING DIGITAL VIDEO
CREATING AND MANAGING DIGITAL VIDEO
|
This site was originally created for the School Library Journal Summit, Nov 14 and 15, 2008.
There are many new ways to create and manage video in schools. Each method has a relative advantage that needs to be considered based on many variables: maximizing the potential for achieving defined student objectives, the time available for a specific video-making activity, the ease of use of the selected technology, the cost of the technology, and the ease of sharing and distributing the final videos. Other issues include: copyright and fair use, the utilization of subscription video services, and the exploration and use of new technologies or new features on existing technologies. This SLJ Summit presentation is designed to look at these issues.
(For some details on presenters' backgrounds view the SLJ summit wiki.)
